Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas and resistance movement Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal held a second day of talks in Qatar on Friday as the Zionist entity was going on with its brutal offensive on the besieged strip of Gaza.

The meeting -- hosted by Qatar's emir -- was a "follow up" to Thursday's talks, which lasted nearly three hours, a Palestinian source told AFP on condition of anonymity.Abbas, Meshaal and Sheikh Tamim

The discussions, at the palace of Qatari ruler Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, came after Zionist entity resumed its assault on Gaza on Tuesday as Egyptian-brokered truce efforts collapsed.

Meanwhile, no information was immediately available on the content of the discussions there. The Palestinian source said Abbas would leave Doha after the meeting.

Israel breached the truce in Gaza on Tuesday as it raided Gaza in a failed attempt to kill the commander of Hamas’ military wing, al-Qassam Brigades Mohammad Deif. The raid, however, killed Deif’s wife and his baby, Ali.

The resistance then fired rockets on Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion airport and several other areas in the occupied territories.
