Syrian Army Controls Lattakia Hill, kills 46 Gunmen in Aleppo

The Syrian army continued targeting terrorists’ hideouts and positions on Thursday, destroying their vehicles and equipment and leaving many of them dead or injured.

In Homs, army’s air Force destroyed hideouts and vehicles equipped with machineguns of various calibers for ISIS terrorists in Wadi al-Mask in the countryside of Palmyra in Homs province.

The army’s air force targeted assembly points of the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) takfiri group to the east of al-Shumra Mountains in Palmyra countryside, the source added.

In Hama, the army air force raided the terrorist organizations hideouts and movements in the villages and towns of al-Sarmaniyeh, Qaston, Zayzoun al-Jadideh, al-Tanjarah, al-Kahera and at the surroundings of Zayzoun Station, in al-Ghab Plain in the central province of Hama.

The army strikes resulted in the demolishing of terrorists’ vehicles equipped with machineguns and the killing and injuring of member of the so-called Jaish al-Fateh, a military source told SANA Thursday.

On Wednesday, terrorist organizations admitted the killing of the leader of the so-called “Sukour al-Ghab Gathering,” nicknamed Jamil Raadoun.

In Idleb, the army air force staged airstrikes against dens and positions of the so-called “Jaish al-Fatih” in the countryside of the northern province.

A military source told SANA that the army air force carried out strikes against positions of al-Nusra Front and other terrorist organizations in the villages and towns of al-Hamidyia, Khashir, Um Jarin, al-Majas, al-Tir’aa, Qari’a al-Ghazal and Abu al-Dohour in the eastern countryside of the province.

The source added that a number of terrorists were killed in the strikes and others were injured and a number of their vehicles were destroyed, some of which were equipped with heavy machineguns and loaded with arms and ammunition.

Meanwhile, takfiri terrorist organizations admitted on their pages on the social networking websites that one of the self-claimed leaders of al-Nusra Front terrorist organization Mohammad Abdul-Mun’aim Razzouq was killed, in addition to many other terrorists.

The army also staged strikes against dens of terrorists in the villages and towns of Kansafra, Jidrayia, Mhambel, and al-Sahin in Ariha area in the southern countryside of the province, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.

Meanwhile, heavy losses were inflicted upon terrorist organizations in the arms and personnel in airstrikes staged by the army air force against their hotbeds and positions in the village of Frieke, and the sugar factory in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughour.

In Aleppo, an army unit killed 46 terrorists in al-Sayyed Ali area in Aleppo city.

In Lattakia, army units established control over Rweiset Jouret al-Tanbour hill at the axis of Jeb Al-Ahmar in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia, after destroying terrorists’ hideouts

In Daraa, an army unit killed a number of al-Nusra terrorists destroyed their arms at the western neighborhood of Bosra al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa Province.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 230,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.

Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
