"Yahya Taha, 21, from the village of Qatanna... died after he was shot and wounded in the head during clashes," the Palestinian health statement said, referring to an area northwest of al-Quds.

"An attacker got out of a taxi with a knife" at Tapuah junction near Nablus, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a statement, referring to the second Palestinian martyr.

The IOF “responded by firing shots at him, resulting in his death."
The Palestinian health ministry confirmed his death, identifying him as Samer Hassan Siresee, 51.

The death brings to 96 the number of Palestinians martyred in violence since October 1.

Around half of them have been the alleged perpetrators of a wave of stabbing, shooting and car ramming attacks against the Israeli occupiers. Others have died in clashes with occupation forces.

The attacks have also left 17 Israelis, an American and an Eritrean dead.

More than 800 Palestinians have been arrested over the past two months, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon told public radio on Thursday.

Attempts to ease the tensions, including a visit by US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday, have so far proved unsuccessful.
